Advocacy

Commercial Real Estate Development Association members influence legislation that protects and advances the interests of all industry players across the board through local, state, and national political advocacy, including:

  • Professional lobbying and congressional testimony.
  • Participation in issue coalitions.
  • Political support of industry-friendly members of Congress and candidates through the CRE-PAC.

Annually, CREDA Charlotte Region (with the chapters in the Piedmont Triad and Raleigh-Durham markets) visits Capitol Hill to share with elected officials the experience and views of the CREDA members. Throughout the year, we maintain contact with these officials and monitor important regulatory and legislative issues.

Through CREDA’s participation in REBIC, the Real Estate and Building Industry Coalition, we take action on issues to promote public policies that encourage regional economic growth, job creation, and a healthy real estate industry.

Support Advocacy through the Commercial Real Estate PAC

We have combined forces to create the Commercial Real Estate PAC (for all CREDA, CBC, and CRCBR Members).

CRE-PAC allows us to further strengthen relationships with our local and state elected officials by supporting candidates who understand and support the interests of our industry, regardless of the candidate's party affiliation.
